can any LS engine work with the 2010 camaro base model?

I have a specific engine in mind and i want to get the 2010 camaro so i can put the engine in in. Will it work it is not a LS9 engine like the stock camaro does.
I was planning on doing this after waranty was up so thats ok.

      The work and voiding your warranty if you do motor swap.
