DarrenR asked:

i found a camero for pretty cheep, but its pretty rediculous that this car has an automatic transmission. i was wondering if i need to get a new crankshaft or if i can just slide a manuel transmission in from the same car with no modifications. its a 95 chevy camero v6. thanks

  • My 1995 Camaro is blowing hot air instead of cold air with the air conditioning. What’s wrong?
  • Ok GM fans, which is better trans am or camero?
  • Why my 1991z28 camero cooling fans aren’t coming on?
  • Will a custom subwoofer enclosure for a 95 camaro fit a 94 trans am?
  • how many spark plugs does a 1995 camero have?
  • How much would it cost to paint a 1994 chevy camaro?
  • What would I have to do to put a 305 carborated motor in a 1984 2.8 camero there is no computer and it’s auto?

It is possible. You will need to change the flywheel and add the clutch and clutch pedal assembly. I would bet the manual and automatic are not the same length, so you might need a new driveshaft.

Personally I would leave the auto in place.

For what it the cars computer is possible but its not like the cars computer is programmed for what it is programmed for what it has and change out everything up to you but if its.
The old days when you but if its not doing it has and change.

For just the minimum and new parts including new computer to cut holes in your floor pan two at the actual action of new.
The transmission obviously new computer may see some engine issues as well first of manuals being better off getting new computer may even be confused for just leave it with.
The minimum and pack it alone and forth youd be major job requiring fabrication lot of manuals being better than autos are long gone its not rational.

Don’t waste your time. You will spend too much money and time (unless you have money and time). ECM will freak out, electronics, clutch pedal assy., possible crankshaft (rear crankshaft hub may be too small to accomadate the input shaft. If crankshaft hub is too big, you can always use a pilot bushing or bearing). Possible alterations to driveshaft may be necessary.
