The camaro is a 5.0 H.O TBI an the pontic is a 5.7 an there both are automatic trannys an with is faster from 0-60 and the 1/4 mile an wich has the better speed limit

Between those 2 I’d take the Trans-AM.
It has a 350 Chevy engine in it, better/easier to build up if you want to….

The camaro does have better trim level than base fb.
Camaro does have the 350 no replacement for displacement if its trans am gimmie the bird know what said its trans.

Camaro being high output motor then its pretty much the same as the firebird automatic 50 and they have 1984 firebird z28s were junk.
