What kind and size of carburetor would be best to put on my camaro?

I have a 1990 Chevy Camaro RS, recently installed a 355/5.7L engine in it but the only carburetor I had at the time was broke, so I’m looking for a new one to put on the car. I am looking for a carburetor that will give it the most performance with out being to much/big for the engine to handle. What would be the best size and make for my car(examle: edelbrock 600cfm)? Thanks

The eldelbrock site and there you should find your answer prob 650 cfm or look into fuel injected setup.

The Edlebrock 600 (I thought it was a 650) is a good choice. Holley also makes a 600 that will work well. Both fit the same manifold so that should not be a problem. Both have vacuum secondaries so that should improve driveability. Holley seems to have a little more adjustment variation which can be good or bad depending on how you want to set the carb up. I wouldn’t go any higher than a 650 cfm.

The edelbrock 650cfm would be good replacement carb on your motor if so and built some computer still hooked up.
For many years and nitrous fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun fun.
The comp is computer controlled it could give you need if you some problems what you need if basicaly stock motor.
