My camaro needs a new transmission, and I was wondering what kind they have?
and if anyone knows any tips on finding a cheap one, that would be awesome. I don’t want to stick a lot of money into a car I’m just going to sell.

Depends on the engine size. Most of those cars had either a 350 or 305. If that’s the case, it’s either a TH350 tranny or a 700R4. If I was going to sell it anyway, I’d just pick one up pretty cheap from a junk yard and replace it.

more than likely a 700r4 trans they are pretty common.

its probably a metric tranny, alot of cars has them.

The lt1 you have the lt1 you have the tranny and rear enddifferential if you can use any tranny from 9396 if.
Camaro has the v8 version form 9398.
