Why does my Camaro turn off when put in gear?

i have 91 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 and everytime i power it on it, it will stay on but if i try to put it in gear it turns off. So i have to sort of warm it up a bit. But this never happened before. Air filter? Fuel filter? What can it be?
it has a new throttle body.

      For vacuum line going to can looking thingy mounted at the source see if the 91 had modulator or not.
